NOTES: The past three CJ Cups have been held on Jeju Island in South Korea, but the event was moved this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is scheduled to return to South Korea in 2021. … Shadow Creek was the venue for “The Match: Tiger vs. Phil” between Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson in 2018. … The 78-player, no-cut field includes the top four players in the official world golf rankings, with No. 1 Dustin Johnson and No. 2 Jon Rahm paired for the first two rounds with Matthew Wolff. … Johnson owns the longest active streak on Tour with at least one win in each of the past 13 seasons. … Brooks Koepka will make his first start since withdrawing from The Northern Trust in August due to a lingering knee issue. The 2018 champion withdrew from last year’s CJ Cup after aggravating a knee injury. … Live odds will be integrated into the Golf Channel telecast for the first time in partnership with BetMGM. … Korean teenager Joohyung “Tom” Kim will make his third start on Tour this season, having made the cut at The Safeway Open and the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship.

BEST BETS: Johnson (+850 by DraftKings) is the betting favorite after taking a break following a T6 at the U.S. Open following his two wins and two runner-up finishes to close out last season. … Rahm (+1000) finished fourth in the FedEx Cup. He finished T23 at the U.S. Open after posting top-six finishes in all three legs of the playoffs. … Thomas (+1200) also won the event in 2017, albeit on a different course in a different country. Four of his 13 career Tour wins have come during the fall portion of the schedule…. Rory McIlroy (+1400) has been regaining his form with a pair of T8 finishes in his past two starts. … Xander Schauffele (+1400) has finished T2 at the Tour Championship and fifth at the U.S. Open in his past two starts. … Wolff (+2200) has finished runner-up in each of his past two events as well as in the Rocket Mortgage Classic over the summer. He missed only one of 65 putts inside 10 feet last week. … Collin Morikawa (+2600) is a Vegas resident looking to rebound from a missed cut last week. … Justin Rose (+7000) hasn’t won since January 2019, but the former No. 1 offers appealing odds.
