Auburn WR Malcolm Simmons arrested for domestic assault

Auburn sophomore wide receiver Malcolm Simmons was arrested on domestic assault charges involving strangulation or suffocation, according to Lee County (Ala.) Sheriff’s Office records posted online Wednesday night.As of Thursday morning, Simmons was no longer listed on the county jail record as an inmate.Simmons’ bond was set at $20,000, and his arrest was the second for the Tigers’ football program in two weeks. The Tigers dismissed linebacker D’Angelo “DJ” Barber following his arrest on three drug-related charges.
