FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – No. 17 Arkansas (19-10) and Missouri State (17-9) will square off Tuesday, March 21, at Hammons Field in Springfield, Mo., in their first of two midweek meetings this season. First pitch between the Razorbacks and Bears is scheduled for 6 p.m. on ESPN+ with Mike McClure (play-by-play) and Tom Mast (analyst) on the call.
Entering Tuesday night’s clash, the Hogs are 6-1 in midweek games this season. Arkansas defeated Tarleton State on Feb. 16 at Globe Life Field, split a double midweek series against in-state foe Arkansas State on Feb. 24-25, took down Oral Roberts on March 3 and swept its double midweek series against Northern Colorado on March 17-18 before most recently picking up its second win of the season over an in-state opponent with a win against UCA on March 24.

Razorback right-hander Steele Eaves will make his first career start on the mound in Tuesday night’s midweek contest against the Bears. In a team-leading 10 relief appearances this season, the Lonoke, Ark., native owns a 3-1 record with a 2.29 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 19.2 innings of work while limiting opposing hitters to a .183 batting average against.

Arkansas is 59-31 overall against Missouri State since 1957, including a 22-14 record in games played in Springfield, Mo. Under head coach Dave Van Horn, the Razorbacks are 21-12 overall and 8-3 at Hammons Field against the Bears.
The Hogs, who are 5-5 in their last 10 games against the Bears, are seeking their first win in Springfield since the 2019 campaign. Arkansas lost 8-4 to Missouri State during the 2023 season in the most recent meeting at Hammons Field.
