Georgia QB Fromm breaks non-throwing hand

Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm is not expected to miss any games or even any practice time despite breaking his non-throwing hand.Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart told ESPN on Wednesday that Fromm was hurt earlier this week in a boating accident but that the QB was already throwing the ball again.According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Fromm was the unfortunate victim in a freak occurrence on Lake Burton in northeast Georgia. He was seated in the stern of a boat as someone else wakeboarded behind. The wakeboarder reportedly let go of the rope, and the handle flew back and struck Fromm’s left hand.Fromm is expected to participate Thursday when the Bulldogs resume seven-on-seven drills, the Journal-Constitution reported.Fromm made an immediate impact at Georgia as a true freshman in 2017-18, leading the Bulldogs to the national championship game. Georgia went 11-1 in the regular season, beat Auburn in the Southeastern Conference championship game, then defeated Oklahoma in the College Football Playoff semifinal before falling to Alabama in overtime in the national final.
